There are many advantages in applying plant protection products in sold form rather than in liquids. The neutral pH of Eu-Grits products offers stable combinations with many active ingredients, organic acids and essential oils. The relatively high absorption rate of Eu-Grits products (90% by weight at saturation) is suitable for most formulas. The high contact surface of the corn cob allows the active ingredients to be gradually released.
High absorbency
The internal honeycomb structure of the corn cob and its large exchange surface enable the absorption of aqueous or oily solutions.
Space to grow
The cellulose content of the cob (35%) and its porous network allow populations of bacteria and fungi to develop.
Very hard
With a hardness equal iron (4.5 on the Mohs scale), corn cob still has excellent flowability after mixing, does not generate dust during the manufacturing process and does not stick to handling circuits.
